Canadian actor Jack Kruschen had more than 225 acting credits in a resume that dated back to the 1940s, per IMDb -– and that didn't count his prolific work as a radio actor. As a high school student, Kruschen was "discovered" by a scout for CBS Radio while performing in a Hollywood High production, and he was soon cast in a radio show, according to The New York Times. Michelle finds herself skipping school, as she's unable to face Share Day, without Papouli. Jesse helps her to allow her to show her emotions, and the two cry in each other's arms. Later, he accompanies Michelle to school, where he, realizing it's what Papouli would've wanted, helps Michelle show her class the Greek 'Great Dance' for Share Day.

Known for his cartoonish impressions and childlike humor, Joey Gladstone (Coulier) was one of the surrogate dads on "Full House" who played a big part in the lives of the Tanner girls. He was Danny's best friend in college, and once was an aspiring standup comic. He teamed up with Jesse as a jingle writer for a few years, and eventually got his own TV show, playing Ranger Joe with his puppet sidekick, Mr. Woodchuck.

Youngest Tanner child Michelle's (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) tearjerking reaction to Papouli's death was one of the most heartbreaking moments ever shown on the ABC series. The dark death segment was so out of the usual realm of "Full House" that producers from the show consulted with an expert in death education for children before finalizing the script, per The Hartford Courant. Sadly, Papouli passed away from a heart attack during his visit.

A widowed sportscaster enlists the help of his party-boy brother-in-law and stand-up comic best friend to raise his three daughters in their San Francisco home. Though Joey remained a bachelor throughout the "Full House" series, we discover in the reboot "Fuller House" that his character finally managed to settle down and start a family. Joey still retained his wacky antics and childlike enthusiasm, and that definitely shows in his parenting style. The Fuller boys (like the Tanner girls before them) go through their own trials as they grow up.
Joey and Danny, purchase a boat, and decide to christen their new vessel the "Papouli", in honor of their recently deceased patriarch. Jesse, who announces he's taking a trip to Greece to head a memorial for Papouli, loves the boat, and claims Papouli would've loved it too. Finally understands the point of Papouli's story was that sunglasses and slippers are not worth breaking up a friendship, and reconciles with a sympathetic Kimmy.

DJ and Stephanie decided to surprise him by inviting his dad, Colonel Gladstone, to the show. However, this led to tensions between father and son, as the Colonel argued that Joey's comedy career was a waste of time and effort. Joey points out to his father that he has always missed out on important events in Joey's life, as he never supported Joey's dreams. Jackson (Michael Campion), Max (Elias Harger), and Tommy, Jr. (Dashiell and Fox Messitt) are certainly a handful, but each boy has their own personality and traits that make them special. The eldest, Jackson, is athletic and outgoing, with an interest in both sports and music.
Iorgos Katsopolis was born on January 24, 1905, to Hermes Katsopolis, a businessman. The young Iorgos followed his dreams to become a fisherman, later marrying Gina and having a son named Nicholas. Visiting from Greece, Iorgos is a jolly, friendly old man with a failing memory. This was a very tough time for the family -– especially for Jesse, who shouldered the responsibility of his grandfather's funeral arrangements. This left him very little time to grieve, although having a chat with Michelle (Olsen) about talking through one's feelings finally allowed himself to do so. The next day, while the sun is shining outside the Tanner house, the mood inside is dark and dreary. Everyone is devastated and in tears, as that morning, Danny went to wake Papouli up only to discover that he had died in his sleep from heart failure. Jesse feels that it is a bad dream, but unfortunately, that bad dream is a reality, and it hit them like a ton of bricks. Jesse questions if there was something he could've done to avert the tragedy, but Becky assures him there was nothing he or anyone else could've done for Papouli.
Danny falls asleep while hosting a telethon and leaves the family to run the show. Joey and Jesse host a children's programming, but end up breaking Stephanie's nose in the process. D.J.'s baby-sitting job is made no easier by the child she is looking after. Jesse takes drastic measures when he feels too dumb to attend a cultural arts party with Rebecca. The girls fall in love with a stray dog, unaware that the pup is pregnant. When Jesse and Rebecca suffer relationship woes, the family attempts to patch things up.
She did not join her sisters in "Fuller House," which became a fourth-wall joke in the series. The reason for Mary Kate and Ashley's absence was a simple one -– they now run a successful fashion line. Additionally, Ashley candidly admitted that she did not feel comfortable being in front of a camera anymore.
In "Fuller House," Nicky and Alex are all grown up -– though they have still retained their roguish nature. Now in college, Nicky and Alex have ambitions to own their own fish taco truck. To their father, it seems that the twins have very little direction, but their mom is a bit more understanding.
